Raven's Wood is the culmination of a life's dream for it's owner, Tom
Randall, a Michigan native and retired United States Air Force noncommissioned officer. Tom's career took him from walking
around B-52 bomber aircraft in northern Michigan to duty as a ground combat instructor and a member of several hostage
rescue teams to teaching Professional Military Education to other NCO's and eventually performing First Sergeant
duty overseas and in the USA. After retiring from active service, Tom's civilian career has taken him from corporate
security executive protection planning and operations to project management consulation here at home. He's seen
how challenging team building enhances the corporate environment from the executive level to the team member.
After
retiring from active service, Tom moved to Idaho to enjoy the mountains and wilderness of that beautiful state while
he finished raising his children. In late 2000, Tom moved back to Michigan to reunite with his high school sweetheart,
Susan; they married and soon bought Raven's Wood. Susan, after watching Tom in the woods and seeing him teach others
primitive adapation skills, urged him to share his skills and experience with anyone who wanted to have what she called,
"an adventure".
So, here we are! 2008 was Raven's Wood Enterprises 'grand opening'
for "adventures", and as time goes on, more classes and opportunities will be available.

staff members are under Tom's direction and are experienced woodsmen.
